On completion of this Fire Safety Awareness Distance Learning pack each candidate will be able to:
- Highlight individual responsibilities and outline how to risk assess particular work activities in order to minimise any risk of fire
- Discuss common fire hazards and how fires start and spread
- Describe emergency procedures to be followed in the event of a fire in line with company policy and the internal risk assessment
- Highlight where to report fire safety concerns and know the consequences of failing to report or not acting appropriately
- Identify the different fire extinguishers and different classifications of fires
- Define what you can and cannot do should a fire start
